Daddy! Engineer x Mommy! Reader

   You and your husband had just laid down in your bed late one night. You were  happily snuggled into his broad chest listening to his heartbeat , arms wrapped around his neck. His left arm was under his helmet free head, his right was draped lazily over your waist.

   You sighed contently, Dell came home safe and Your daughter went to bed peacefully?
Could things be any more perfect?

 A slight snore roused you from your thoughts- you grinned-  all too familiar with Dells’ Earth shaking snore. You had never thought you would find it so comforting!  Within no time you were dozing off.

  That is until the pitter patter of tiny feet roused you. You turned your gaze to the door just in time to hear a tiny sob outside of it . Frowning you tried to set up, only to have Dell tighten his hold on your waist.

“Dell!” You whisper shouted, squirming in his hold.

His blue eyes opened “Yes Darlin’?” he asked sleepily

“Somethings wrong with (D/N), I think she's outside our door.”

Dell shifted and looked to the door “(D/N) Darlin', are ya there?”

“UmmHmm.” the girl sniffled.
“Come in sweetheart.” You called sifting to make room for your little girl. You sent Dell a concerned look.

Your daughter open the door shyly and shuffled her way in, tear stains all down her rosy cheeks, here curly blonde hair was falling haphazardly over her small shoulders, and her blue eyes were still welling  up with tears. She was also clutching her (Team color) bear.

“Oh sweetheart what's the matter?” Dell asked beckoning  the girl to lay down with you.

She followed her daddy's' request and hopped up into the bed, Dell instinctively wrapped his left arm around the little girls shoulders, while you rubbed her back.

“Did you have a bad dream?” You asked

She nodded

“Do you wanna talk about it?” Dell asked

She shook her head

You and Dell sent each other concerned looks, but both understood how she was feeling.

“Sleep with us.” Dell said

“Everything will be okay.” You assured her

You and Dell both kissed her head and you all went to sleep.
